Black Ops 2's 3rd DLC: Vengance!

Tranzition looked fake, and we were right. But luckily, this new DLC looks much more AWESOME! To see Treyrach's official preview, watch the video below!

So this is the usual Call of Duty DLC. It comes with 4 multiplayer maps, and 1 zombies map. They also advertise the new Wondergun for the zombies map: The Ray Gun Mark 2.

Let's take a look at these maps a little closer.

This map takes place on a small island, the scene of a plane wreck. This map has many openings going in and out of the rocks, making it very easy to sneak through and flank the enemy. This map is very open to the air, so this map may make it hard to hide from air assaults, such as Warthogs or Stealth Choppers. I expect this to be an extremely hectic map. I expect the phrase "Where did you come from?!" Will be said a LOT.

This map is very narrow, and looks like quite the battlefield. This map takes place on a suspension bridge, seemingly under construction. This will make firefights heated and head-on. I have the feeling that explosives will have high value in such narrow corridors. Snipers might have fun camping on either end on Capture the Flag, making this a bothersome map, but it looks like it will be tons of fun.

Ever been to a paintball arena, and acted just like you were playing Call of Duty? Then welcome to Rush! This map makes interesting use of the shapes set up for the arena, making you hide behind colorful bags and tires for cover. This map will be a good medium-sized map for SMGs and Assault Rifles. Pairing them with a sensor grenade or Millimeter Scanner might be your best bet.

What's this? A satellite control center in Myanmar? Yes, but it's also SUMMIT! Who misses that snowy map from the first Black Ops? I can say with much confidence that this map will be very popular, and might be a little insane. The top floor, pictured here, was a popular camp spot, even with it's multiple entrance points. Be prepared to have your "Merciless" medal shunned as C4 flys through the window. Time to bring back the good old times. The dark, rainy ambiance of the map will spin the mood that Summit's snowy bright peaks had.

Time for the news ALL of you have been looking forward to....the NEW zombies map! Looks like the predictions were right. I was told that the next map would have this name, but I did not agree. This map takes place in an old western town....that's underground? This seems to play off of the whole Ghost Town/Gold Mine theme, and brings back the main crew from the Tranzit.
(Marlton is back!)

The trailer also describes a 5th character. He was described as something you may have to fight, or that might be useful to you during the gameplay. He appears to be a citizen of this "Ghost Town", and might have information about the town. But he appears jailed, so what might he have done to be locked up? Was that the only thing that kept him alive as the rest of the town members succumbed to the zombie apocalypse? Or was he the reason everyone is now the undead..?

(New Character?)

Along with the zombies map, there is also a new Ray Gun! The Ray Gun - Mark 2. This gun appears to be more of a rifle variant of the Ray Gun, being slightly longer with more contraptions. The clip of whatever Ray-Gunny juice powers the thing now goes into the back of the gun, and makes it (dare I say?) faster to reload. This gun seems to be very effective, as it has now been given the ability to completely wipe out trains of zombies.   The Original Ray Gun was a good, light weight, effective savior. But it would sometimes injure you, and it was not as effective when training on High-Round games.  A revamped hand-gun seems quite fit for the Wild West.  You'd better be the fasted gun-slinger in town .....because this town ain't big enough for a huge horde of zombies and 4 survivors!

This seems like it will be another bad-ass download from Treyarch! Personally, I really enjoyed the aesthetics of Treyarch's last DLC,  on Mob of the Dead. I hope that this map will bring in some new details, and not make this another Die Rise. There doesn't appear to be any new guns available in Buried. The LSAT will be making a return, but other than that, it's unknown what guns will in the box this time.

Black Ops 2's 3rd DLC leak: Tranzition?

Well, the glory days for Uprising have passed. Treyarch's second DLC was stunning, and was definitely one of the best. But we've still got two more DLC's to go, and the 3rd is just right around the corner! So what's buzzing around the internet? This leaked image, similar to the first leaked image of Revolution, shows off the new DLC. This image MAY be fake, it is unknown at this time, and does look a little shady, along with the fact this image is EXTREMELY poor quality.

(UPDATE: This is a fake DLC. Does not exist. New information added HERE)

So what's going on here? Will Moon be coming back to us this summer? After Group 935's escapades on the Moon, we lost Richtofen as a playable character, and lost the other 3 members of the group, Takeo, Dempsy, and Nikolai. Are they still there, searching for a way back to Earth? That seems like it might be a very real map idea, but the Multiplayer maps seem very ambiguous. With the low image quality, it's hard to zoom in and see what these maps might be. Sacrifice might be some Mayan temple, Hidden could be anything really just as long as it's in the dark. Cavern seems kind of straight forward, but virus could mean many things. These maps kind of seem unlikely due to the fact that past DLC maps have stuck to a certain "futuristic" style. These map names seem too broad, kind of like maps from WaW or Cod4. The next release will most likely be in July, so official word will probably be coming from Treyarch relatively soon. Until then, stay sharp everybody!
