A new way to play: Afterlife mode is an interesting set up. You start off the game in this 'After Life'. If you watch the cut scene that goes along with the map, you'll see that all of the characters die. Thus, having to revive themselves via Afterlife mode. It's slightly like Turned, with ghostly white translucent hands in front of you. In the after life there are many things you can do. You can revive yourself (Sort of like Who's Who). You can hover, allowing you to go into special places to turn on power for Perk Colas and doors. You can shoot zombies with electricity, but it merely transports them somewhere else. This is very useful if you're trying to revive yourself. You cannot revive anyone else while in Afterlife. There is only a certain amount of time you can spend in the Afterlife. If you take too long, you go down for good. You use your Afterlife if you go down, but what if you need to turn on the power, and you have Perks? There are special power boxes on the walls, where you can kill yourself. You can do whatever you need, revive yourself, and you'll have your Perks. If you take to long, you will die, thus losing all of your perks.
Almost everything is customized for this map. The HUD, the Box, the music, the weapons, even the camo for Pack-A-Punched guns. The box has flames licking the bottom, lining all around. The top is coated with spikes. Instead of the Teddy Bear, the box displays a lock when moving. There is music to go along with almost every mood of the map. It's very ominous, and sets the map up very well. This map has a dark feel to it. It seems like someone was doing satanic rituals. The eyes of the zombies are red, and shards of metal and barbed wire lace their whole body. Candles in circle shapes with skulls in the center sit around certain areas of the map. The PaP camo seems to reflect this. Usually the bottom of the gun is gold, with the top blacks with shining gold etches of pentagrams and other symbols.
Grief returns to the zombie world in the shape of dark corridors and bloody prison cells. Grief on Cell Block is extremely brutal. In Grief mode, PHD Flopper RETURNS! Along with Mule Kick, Speed Cola, Double Tap, DeadShot Daiquiri (Which is also in the main level). But there is a twist. Grief on Cell Block has NO Juggernog. This makes the game extremely frantic, and you may lose all your perks, with no chance of protection. You literally feel like you're running with all your precious items naked and exposed. It's quite awful. If enough people get this map pack, I may switch the Grief Tournaments to this location.
On this map, there are three Hell Hounds that stick their head out of the wall. These dogs eat nearby dead zombies, if you've just killed them. One is in the middle of the Cell Block, another at the Docks, and the last just below the entrance to the roof. Once you have fed enough to one of the dogs, they will disappear into the wall. Feed all three, you'll get Hell's Retriever. You can get this by going down to where Double Tap is. There will be a special door that has opened in the wall. This is a flaming Tomahawk, and appears in your special grenades bar. It has an unlimited reuse, and has a 5 second recharge. This can be used to kill a few zombies, grab Power-Ups that are far away, and to grab some parts.
The guns on this level are FANTASTIC. Here is a list of weapons introduced to Mob of the Dead:
AK-47
M1927 (Tommy Gun)
BlunderGat/Acid Gat
Uzi
Death Machine (No, you read that right. The fucking Death Machine)
Many old guns return, but luckily with some changes. Remember the Remington being way too expensive for how much good it did? The price was reduced 300 points. The AK-47 is an extremely good gun, but lasts about as long as the Galil ammunition-wise. The M1927 is fantastic, and personally, I love it. Good Ammo count and power. The Blundergat is AMAZING. This gun can be upgraded 3 times. You get this gun from the box. It has one shot per reload, but is extremely powerful and fast to reload. This can be PaPed, but has a very different look from any other PaPed gun. This makes it have 2 shots before reloading, and way more powerful. But you can THEN take it to a desk, with 3 different parts (which I'll post later on) and make it the Acid Gat. This makes every shot have small explosive acid gels that stick to the zombies. But the shot also acts as a monkey, so all the zombies will run to the spot you shot. This is extremely powerful, and has a huge amount of ammunition. The Uzi is a wall gun, in several places. It's a good price, has good power, but it's not all that useful past round 15. The REAL glory of this map is in the DEATH MACHINE. This is available in the Box, and is a serious monster. It's extremely heavy, and you can barely run with it. But you can turn around and mow down 3 full trains. In one clip. Don't even get me started about it's Pack-A-Punched form. The clip has 500 rounds. It's bright gold. It sounds like 10,000 chainsaws trying to murder each other. I was on round 30, with no juggernog. All 3 of my friends with me were stuck waiting for the Gondola and the WHOLE wave of zombies was pouring through one very narrow door. I totally took care of it myself. I literally sat there for a full minute wasting my clip. I took out round 30, with four teammates, with one clip. Double Tap and Speed Cola make this a godly weapon.
Mob of the Dead introduces a new boss zombie, Brutus. His spawns are completely random, but he does appear to spawn more often if you are buying the box a lot. He is extremely powerful. Nuke and Insta-Kill do NOT affect him. When weakened, he will punch his chest, exploding several smoke grenades, making it difficult to see him and the rest of the zombies. After you have killed him, he will drop a random power-up. It's good not to just completely waste your ammunition when killing him because you're don't know if he'll drop a Max Ammo. He can lock down anything, box, build-able desks, perks, making you have to pay an extra 2000 points to use them again.
Weirdly, there are no Galvaknuckles, Bowie Knife, or Quick Revive in MotD. Treyarch also removed quite a few weapons. But they were luckily quite awful ones, such as the SMR, M8A1, Ballistic Knives, War Machine, Chicom CQB, KAP-40, but quite a lot more good ones. The RPD and Hamr are missing, probably because of the appearance of the Death Machine and LSAT. Couldn't make it too easy.
Mob of the Dead has a new Perk, the Electric Cherry! It's only 2000 points, and when you reload, it kills/stuns nearby zombies. The effect is more powerful if you're loading a completely empty clip versus a half full clip. PHD Flopper and Mule Kick can be seen out on the docks, but cannot be accessed.
The hidden song for this map is Johnny Cash's cover of Rusty Cage by Soundgarden. To set it off, you need to find all three of the whiskey bottles. (UPDATE: There is also a second song, turned on if you set the numbers at the bottom of the spiral stair case to 935. This has to be done AFTER getting the part.)
Starting room, beside the Olympia
In the room next to a box spot, closet to the roof
On the Docks.
There are 2 build-able items on this map, the Zombie Shield and Acid Gat Kit.
This zombie shield desk is at the docks, near the Hell Hound symbol.
The Acid Gat Kit can be built in two different locations. 3rd level, behind Electric Cherry, or on the desk in the cafeteria.
Hand trolley: Outside on the docks near some crates.
Clamp: On a cupboard in the generator room
across from the generator that doesn't break.
Turn left when entering the generator room from the docks, and the clamp should be next to the wall and the generator.
Jail cell door: In the dead end hallway at the bottom of the spiral staircase of the catacombs
also found leaning against a panel on the spiral staircase.
For the Acid Gat:
The test tubes can be found somewhere on the floor in the Warden's Office. The first location is near the Uzi leaning up against the wall. The next possible location will be to the left of the mystery box spawn. The last possible location will be to the left of the fireplace in the Warden's Office.
The briefcase can be found in the cell block. The first location is on top of a desk just outside the spawn by a jail cell. The next possible location will be near the Afterlife power box by the MP5. The last possible location will be underneath the stairs leading up to the B23R.
The acid can be found in the infirmary. The first location is on top of a wooden table near a bloody bathtub. The next possible location will be on the floor in the room with multiple bathtubs full of blood. The last possible location will be on top of a table in the Infirmary's shower room.

Pack-A-Punch on this level is extremely hard to get to. You have to find 6 parts. The Warden's Key, and all of the plane parts. There are the clothes, where you go into Afterlife mode to start the dryer to get them. There is the Ropes where you have to enter the code at the bottom of the stairs via Afterlife to lower the elevator. There is the power room at the Docks where you shut down the machines while in Afterlife to turn off the electricity around the door in the Warden's Office for the generator. Also on the docks, the Canisters are in a small chained off area. Two must enter and one must go into the Afterlife to open the door, but close the entrance. Then the living person grabs the part, and then person in the Afterlife revives himself. The last part is just in a locked box just one floor beneath the room. All that's needed is the Warden's Key. Then you add all the parts onto the plane, and it will fly you to the Golden Gate Bridge.
The Golden Spork
(This list was taken from the COD Zombies Wikia, thank you so much! If you wish to visit the actual page, click here)
The Golden Spork is a hidden melee weapon and Wonder Weapon in Mob of the Dead. It is the most powerful melee weapon in the history of Zombies.
To obtain it, the player must:
Visit the Golden Gate bridge at least once.
Obtain the Hell's Retriever.
Obtain the AcidGat by converting the Blundergat via the Acid Gat Kit.
Find the jail cell with a blue and green movie poster hanging on the wall near the Warden's Office. Throw the Hell's Retriever at the poster and it will be removed revealing a hole in the wall.
Enter Afterlife Mode. There is a portal entrance at the end of the row of cells near the Warden's Office.
Enter the portal and zap a spoon lying on the floor to the right of a large crack with a skull in it. If done correctly, the player will hear the Demonic Announcer laugh.
Enter the cafeteria and proceed to the barrier at the back of the room. There is a table against the left wall inside the barrier, and the spoon will now be laying on top if it. In order to pick up the spoon, the player will need to throw the Hell's Retriever at it. If done correctly, the player will hear Brutus. (Note: This step must be completed for each player who wishes to obtain the Golden Spork.)
Enter the infirmary and locate the lone bathtub filled with blood opposite a Mystery Box spawn. Hold the action button when next to the bathtub. A silver spoon will appear and stir the blood. (Note: This step must be completed for each player who wishes to obtain the Golden Spork.)
Enter the underground showers and kill zombies using the Acid Gat or Vitrolic Withering. When the correct amount of zombies have been killed, the Demonic Announcer's laugh will be heard once again.
Re-enter the infirmary and return to the lone bathtub filled with blood. Hold the Use button and a zombified hand will raise out of the blood grasping the Golden Spork. Press the Use button to take the Spork, and it will be removed from the hand. (Note: This step must be completed for each player who wishes to obtain the Golden Spork.)
This weapon is ONE hit kill until round 33
