Black Ops 2 Final DLC: Original Cast Returns!

It's almost closing time, ladies and gentlemen. Treyarch is soon to release the final, epic conclusion for Black Ops 2. The major question from everyone....will our beloved companions be returning after their disappearance on Moon? It seems like our friends in the Call of Duty: Zombies studio have begun to tease us...
Recently, Treyarch's Facebook page has posted some interesting photos related to zombies.
A series of hand-written letters were posted, along with a diagram for a weapon by Dr. Maxis.
These seem to be clues about the final DLC, and the hand written letters are quite obviously written by the original cast, take a look for yourself:

"When we began the site excavation, our group could not have predicted the dark path down which our work would lead us.

The Doctor remains both adamant and optimistic that the potential applications for the new found element are worth the associated risks. I concur with the sentiment, but feel increasingly anxious as to the changes I am seeing in my oldest friend." Maxis - September 22, 1917

"The Emperor grows concerned that the barbarians drive for mechanization may soon yield weapons more devastating than anything the world has ever known.

I am honored to act as his trusted agent and will insure that any such weapons are secured for the benefit of Japan..."  Takeo - October 6, 1917

"It seems beyond doubt that Fritz is up to no good. Air reconnaissance suggests prototype armored weaponry is being tested in Northern France. Scuttlebutt reads like the ramblings of a mad man; strange lights in the sky... a mysterious plauge... even giant metal men.

I'll be at the site within the week to learn the truth with my own eyes..." Dempsy - November 19, 1917

"It appears my current exile from the motherland may prove fortuitous. I have received orders to undertake a vital mission in Northern France.

Reports from the area suggest the Kaiser's War Machine may be gearing up to unleash something unlike anything we have seen before..." Nikolai - December 10, 1917

All of these letters are dated in 1917 - WW1 era. When reading all of the letters, it seems clear that Maxis found element 115 close to this date. All of the other armies caught wind of the large scale operation, and took interest. Japan was the first to find out, seeing as Takeo's letter is dated before the others. The U.S. was second to gain information, Dempsy's page was dated a month after Takeo. Last to find out was Russia, his letter was dated in December. He luckily was in the area after his exile from his homeland, and Stalin knew he had the guts to do the job right, most likely to regain his ability to return home.

It's already known in the story that Richtofen captured and experimented on Takeo, Dempsy, and Nikolai. Several audio tapes, quotes, and easter egg segments reveal this early on. But the beginning of the story was never shown. It appears that this new map may be going back into the past, revealing the beginning of the adventure. On the 25th of July, Treyarch tweeted "We were there at the beginning..." along with another one that said "...and we'll be there at the end" This could be the best ending to a series, ever! But that isn't all.

On August 2nd, Treyarch posted a diagram for a gun prototype designed by Dr. Maxis, dated 2 years before the capture of the Original crew.

The "Mauser (Prototype CXS)"

Mauser was a German arms company that designed and built bolt-action rifles and hand guns.  A very successful handgun designed by the company in 1896 was produced all the way until 1937: The Mauser C96.

The C96 had the best penetration and range of any pistol at the time, and was extremely popular in many countries, including Spain, China, and Britain. The time that this gun was in use fits with the date of Maxis's prototype, and especially during the WW1 era this weapon was in heavy use. It appears that Maxis was trying to make an Element 115 powered version of the C96. I believe this to be the Wonder Weapon for the last map. When looking between this photo of the real C96, and the Maxis prototype, it appears that several things have been added. It looks like a better iron sight was attached above the hammer, grip was added in front of the clip, and the barrel of the gun is longer and more intricate. In Maxis's diagram, we also see an optional sight, looking somewhat like an ACOG . This might be the optional attachment when Pack-A-Punching multiple times.  What is also to be noted is the weight: The Maxis prototype is 1,320g, while the original was only 1,130g. The clip of the original C96 was already 10 bullets, so even if the clip space wasn't tampered with in Maxis's prototype, it will be the hand-gun with the biggest clip size to appear in zombies (Non-P.A.P.)

It seems like we might finally know the whole story of Call of Duty: Zombies, after this last EPIC dlc from Treyarch. All we have now is to wait and see! Stay tuned for more information!
